Nothing is sacred, these needed much updating and thought it would go perfect somewhere not sure yet where.

this was a small bench that was blue, and white, bird theme decided to change it out to more vintage than tole painted. it is great height to use as a shelf, or add something under.

Wow, even though i have a desk and cubbies for my art supplies. I found i always keep my ART Bin box filled and just move it around the house when i need to work in a different area.

I have definately got my moneys worth from the box. I now wish it had more drawers but i utilize it pretty packed. Needless to say if i went to crops or just to class i have almost everything.

But, if i got more drawer i could be ready to move the bins around to add or remove the ones i dont need. Or, you could always just take the whole craft room in a van! That would be easier!

i should have showed you what it looked like before when i dont put things up and just throw stuff together to head home from a class.

I found some little acrylic boxes i was going to toss and realized hmm i could use it for the little things. some of my inks would fit upright in one of them, but the others were too big so i decided in order to keep together put them in a small freezer bag. That way you can just pull it out and have all your inks.

Now my desk is a whole other subject!

Personal Truth

I was flipping the channels on tv around trying to keep cool. Found my self watching a talk show bout personal truth. Hmm Personal Truth needless to say not many can say they have Personal Truth, and how most are really not happy with their own self. How much has affected them, People perceive what they want but dont really know their own personal truth and that is why so many have issues with personal relationships and friendship. Don't know how to get along with others or leave comments alone cause they are not happy with their ownself. They basically dont love their soul. Hmm, again love their soul, that brought on another 1 hour topic and answers it was very enlightening and i am glad to say i didnt fall in those categories, yeah!!! lol even though i know many who have but never thought of it this way. They can learn to love their soul but it takes tons to get there i was like wow i would be not wanting to go thru all that but it is nice to know that you can learn to love your soul. I am liking that statement. LOVE YOUR SOUL. - iguess you have to love your self inorder to love others. Just rambling but i wanted to remember this topic.

Big Boss dies

I am loving my big boss die cutter, sizzex dies and such. I never thought i would use something like this but it is very versatile and so much you can do with it!
Plastic, paper, cloth, velvet! ugh! i am trying everything. I found to cut several an then i have a pile to use when needed so i don't have to stop. pictures to come!

Now i thought this was a nice canvas. Not to large and could be used for various occasions.

It is really dimentional and love, love, love the flower idea on this.

The appointments are still strong and full on our calendar. Trips to DTI are challenging but are getting easier with GPS on a phone. Who would have thought? Bless them!
I feel like i am almost a native of Dallas getting to where i know west, east and locations. Oh i know where that is ? or close to?

But, still not home.

Anxious to get to art work which my living area is covered in, lol at least now it is contained to an area and i can find things. (Believe it or not!)

We have had lots of major neglect to our home since being in business for 11 years and open 7 days a week. We let the yard, house and such go. The yard is now have some plants that are thriving, grass growing and of course weeds : (

Guttering had to be replaced i don't think it liked hanging half way up with no purpose. Garage cleaned out and trash service is not liking me one bit.

I didn't realize how high a house is until you paint trim after two ruined shirts and one pair of pants is is all coming together and getting excited about some more space in garage and yard.

The weather has been crazy, devastating and changing all over. We personally have been through a flood before and know not quite a tornado but how it can change your whole perspective on how fast your priorities in life change. Those who know me personally know we have had many challenges in our lives and can understand quite honestly that we take one day at a time. I have had those whom have challenges and survivors of many things in their lives on my mind and hope they may find peace.

What a fun way to create and add embellishments to your work. I am totally having fun with this lighter weight of cutting machine. Here is one i have worked with but cutting out others to have on stock for projects.

These flowers can be done in many ways but i layered them all from one die cut, with using double sided paper new from My Minds Eye.

Been swamped with LIfe, as you know we have been thru a transplant. I dont have enough chapters to write about my personal life or aspects.

Needless to say it has been 6 months and we are still muddling thru and trying not to question our motives or decisions.

Sept. had been the hardest and almost overwhelming, so much goes on in everyones lifes behind close doors but we are trudging through these days and surviving.

What is it one day at a time.

I am still creating but just slowing down getting out or catching up with friends. Thank goodness for texting, pc and late nights. No phones used much and just getting older by the day speaking of which flying by so fast. (the days)

Anyone out there spread the word i am alive and well. Just one baby step at a time.

Buttons Galore!

Ok, so i went to Hancocks to get a nice green button to put on a jacket i am trying to make open instead of slip over head, little did i know that there is button galore, As you know i lead a very shelterd life these days lol - but i went to find 3 buttons and found my self wanting to go in debt over buttons.

They have beautiful flavors, styles, and designs of buttons. I was in awe.

so i made a final decison but also thought i need to come back to get some for my scrapbooking and cards. Yep they will work, some real glitzy ones too!

Buttons are wonderful these days.

It amazes me on how people spend or have so much time to spend at their pc, phones and iphones stuff. I call it stuff i guess cause it isnt that important to me other than to keep up quickly with everyone. Like facebook that is quick hi and hellos or ogosh!

I guess my point is with facebook, blog and website, i am still pondering creating a crafting site for swaps we really need something cool and for our Oklahoma gals especially.

It amazed me that while in Dallas there was very limited things to find in crafting, no stamp stores, no scrap stores no magazines! for goodness sake i went all the way to a mall to find a barnes and noble just to discover i was having withdrawls from my crafting friends and products.

This time i am taking some books!

First we are so thankful to all of you who have followed us on news - and the many notes and updates given to us. So glad to be home / Tulsa! but oh so thankful for a new kidney in our family. It is interesting how you get so much done for others than you do your own. So much creativeness flows when working with others pictures. When you have your own stuff to work on you sit there and think about it and think about it. Singing one day my pages will be done.

I think albums are so much simpler and easier to just slide the pics in instead of scrapping. Until you can work on them. At least there in a book!

Am i the only one who moves my stuff around constantly trying to find that right space or quality area to work.

I find my stuff all over spread out. I finaly made a decision to move shelves and try to compress even more if possible. As i get rid of more stuff, i bring more boxes and find it to be Christmas all over again, and literally finding Christmas paper, Halloween and things i really dont want to deal with.

But, embellishments is a whole different feeling it is like bling!!!! You can always use.

So much stuff is coming out, and again more great paper, how much do we need?
Been working on some on some cards and photos and thats fun.,
Speaking of which i need to post some pics again!

Back to the shelf thing, i found a great dvd shelf that is so thin it will work perfect for stamps so i think i am going that direction and see if i can move my other shelf out and use if for a much other needed space.

So off to cleaning the desk and moving stuff again.

Other than cooking this is a good day for creating and of course cleaning out the work desk. I got some cool paper and need to sit and create it once i decide to actually take the paper and cut it yikes! Is it just me.? or do all of us just want to look at our paper and not cut it.

Superbowl - hmm i must be in mourning i kept thinking what am i missing today or this weekend then i realized i usualy put on a big show and party on superbowl and this year it has hit that hmm i am sitting in the house and not hosting anything.

I tried to find paper that went with the correct holiday or time of the year.
The greatest thing is you add small pictures to the page flaps or just to the date card. No year just numbers of dates. (mark the special dates you want to remember.)

tackle boxes?

Hmm while i was clearing out some things i found a tackle box i got from my fathernlaw it had spring loaded lids like 8 or so back to back. I thought oh dont throw that out i may need it lol.

well after some thought i said hmm got a lot of leftover letters from chipboard i actualy sat down and separated and placed by abc's in these compartments. Wow now i will only have to go to the box and get my letter out of what i am needing and have all my colors and choices in one little box of a's or b's and so on.

but i did have to place abc in one d,e,f in the other and so on. But hey i can find them now.!

so take a second look at those tackle boxes before you toss them, or the ones the guys dont use anymore in the garage! whoo hoo! i will post a pic tmrw!

As you can see when you create, your desk looks like you created a large project. (even when you are only making a little card).

CK09 - Wow, it was crazy as usually, mainly the parking lol! But it was so good to see everyone out and about.

Hope every ones creations were as good as they hoped. I myself even found some great things that i wanted to upgrade to. You know how those products are out but once you see all you can do with them you have to have it!

Distress Pads

Tim Holtz has line of distress pads but in the old days we used any type of dye base inks. His pads are smaller and easier to hold on to. Larger pads that are not pigment inks can be used with just the corners. You can look through your inkpads and see which are not pigment. Th dye base pads stay whetter so you can manipulate them and move the ink with more moisture ifyou want to add spritz of water. So much you can do with them to add that more vintage or finished look.

I have boxes covering my living area ready to go to the show and get rid of. But i promise you these are fun kits. I think the papers are fun that we will be working with. I guarantee you all will learn something new! - and i will see my living area again!
