Outside business hours
We completed the 5k Autism walk. We are so proud of our sons' excitement and determination to do the big walk. Definately would have been happy if he wanted to quit early, it showed my lack of excercise! But we did it and had a great time. It was good to see all our friends and people.

Outside business hours
Sat, tmrw is the Walk for Autism, little confusion but i am signed up for 5 miles! I have been walking everyday but not sure about the 5 miles. so if you see anyone laying off the road drop some water, of course it may be raining anyway. lol! Seriously Thank you to all of you and family whom has donated to the cause. Like i said before not just for our son Johnathon but to all those families and children out there. xoxoxoxo
Outside Business Hours
hmm, when you here a noise not normal from a microwave pay attention, i rarely walk out of the kitchen when i cook but a normal snack at night is for popcorn! Last night i was in the kitchen and kept hearing a wierd noise off and on, finaly though hmm it has to be the microwave. Yep, lo and behold the microwave was flaming in side yep flaming! i opened the door and grabbed a towel and beat the fire out. luckily it was small but scary! So next time you hear a noise pay attention especialy if the microwave is on, also - it is now off to try and find a new one, (

New kits
I have been busy creating some new kits, they have been popular and hard to keep up with. they have sold well at market before i can upload to blog. Making extras for you to be able to enjoy and share with your friends. Most i can duplicate as long as supplies are in stock.
I have more to upload soon. Hope you enjoy the idea of having a class in the box at your home! Written instructions and closer pics available to those serious buyers.
Thanks and spread the word! xoxoxo

Pictures
The wonderful world of pictures, and of computer technology. I recently experienced the most scary of it. I lost my pics or so i thought after my PC guy came to search for them and reassure me they were still there hiding. My actual camera program was stirring ups some issues. Lo and behold i got in a rush and started the big download of classes, photos, clips and such and started the burning the midnight oil. literally burning Cd's that is!
I feel so much better and less overwhelmed at the thought of loosing those pics. So before you sit back and feel good about having all those pics on your system think twice about possible PC crashes, space and so on.
Just my food for thought!

Old days!?
In the old days or say 20 years ago? when we didnt have Tim Holtz and distress ink we used actual things like that shoe polish that Dana mentioned in her post to me. We also used actual coffee and tea and actual elmers glue ahahha
Of course with all the cool stuff they think it is faster, which brings to mind i was at a flea market last weekend and some guy yes some guy is selling tshirts that was dyed with Oklahoma red clay mud! and they were cool, little stiff but very dark clay red and prewashed so you won't turn red!
He had vintage american flags i loved them! He also sold red clay dirt in kerr jars for us to be adventerous! hmmm i think we could make tags? but archival/acid free hmmm i wont tell if you wont! lol

Gesso or Not?
Oh, i love gesso it has been my freind for so long! Well i broke down and purchased some of Claudine Hellmuth gesso, of course she has paints too!
Long time ago in painting and compositions classes I learned so much about gesso. It is a great coverage as well as a nice texture to play with. Of course i never used products for what they really were for. Thats how you find happy mistakes! la la!
Here hopefully are some pics, her Gesso is so premium creamy and very little goes a long way most are fast drying. Nice way to cover something dark to lighten with a new color as you will see. I will post pics later. so keep a watch!
